Frank from Blue Velvet / Vellum Hill collaboration "The Devil Took My Girl" out now
To celebrate the re-release of their eponymous album on vinyl, punky post-country band Frank from Blue Velvet asked Vellum Hill to produce a new version of their track “The Devil Took My Girl”. The driving momentum of the original song is built on to create a layered sound with organ, synth and general fuzz, and the song closes with a mystery recording from the VH location archive - high winds on a lonely bridge, filtered through howling radio static.
